I wake up to darkness one day
I look into my favourite sanctuary
A depressing jeopardy
The orangutan waving goodbye
The black rhino letting its last sigh
The Asian elephant walking away
The chimpanzee no more to stay
A depressing jeopardy
The giant panda letting out its last cry
The black spider monkey jumping over the branches one last time
A depressing jeopardy
As I watched beneath the sea
There lay nothing but a bunch of corals
No loggerhead sea turtles to be seen
The water was crystal clean
A depressing jeopardy
As I watch above
I see the invisible sparrow
Whose survival has become narrow
A depressing jeopardy
Closer came the sunset
The animals shed their tears
Looking back one last time
A depressing jeopardy
But I will not lose hope
I still have time, don't I?
We will build a sanctuary of peace,
of love and everything in between
They will be seen
And live in happiness
Like they have always been
Let us stop being strangers
Let us bring back the voice of the endangered
