About A Girl - By CJ Jessen

The sun melts on the horizon of a mountain

My love for her is found again

We lie in the grass and listen to rock n’ roll

 Finally, taking back our control

She said she didn’t care about her reputation

But I could feel her hesitation

In this life, you gotta have thick skin

Though, my patience is running thin

I gave her a bouquet of bright red Roses

The floral scent lingered in our noses

Seasons change, the roses dead

Thoughts of her still fill my head

Still, i am encapsulated by her beauty

She looks like she came from a movie

All my life, I’ve been constrained

But with her, a sense of control I’ve gained

Loving her still feels like a fantasy

She will never know how much she means to me

Though, this may seem unconventional

my love for her will never be unintentional

I fell in love with her in the summer

And in the fall, I had won her

There are many things i will never understand,

All i know is that i want to hold her hand

Loving her is all i will know

She can trust that i will not let go
