Viorye - Oana Maria D.

Words from the artist: "The painting represents two girls, Samantha and Olga. They're hanging out and having fun while watching the sun set deep down in the mountains. Their hands are quite close to one another, weird, and unsettling even in this small conservative town. But they won't hold hands. They never will, at least not in public. They are too scared to. I mean...just look at all those beings surrounding them, watching them, you never know if they're trustworthy enough. "What if they tell my Mom?" they always think frightened. Are they friends? Are they a couple? That's up to your interpretation. They might not even know each other, just two girls chilling on a deck, what's wrong with that? The inspiration behind it might be my life, yours, ...anyone's, really."
