Autumn Leaves - Elin K

Crisp and golden, rustling sound,

Leaves of autumn, all around,

Trees once full, now bare and tall,

Shedding leaves, they let them fall.

Red and yellow, orange too,

Autumn leaves, a splendid view,

Blown by wind, they dance and twirl,

In a wild and carefree whirl.

Piles of leaves, beneath my feet,

Soft and crunchy, oh so sweet,

I kick them up, and watch them fly,

Autumn leaves, against the sky.

Sun sets early, days grow short,

Autumn leaves, a symbol caught,

Season's end, and winter nears,

Autumn leaves, a time of tears.

But in my heart, warmth and glow,

Autumn leaves, their beauty show,

A fleeting moment, in life's long race,

Autumn leaves, a sweet embrace.
